Greetings, gunpla fans!   Today we have a treat, the Bugu of Ramba Ral.  The orange and white test type of this is a pbandai kit that looks sooooo good (those of you keeping track will recall I've built a lot of orange suits recently, from the ground type to the Heine Destiny to the powered GM), but its so much more expensive for just a color change that if I ever want it its easier to just get another one of these and paint it.  And by "one of these" I mean: Just look at those pesky ball units trying to get their hand on early Zeon Mobile suit tech!  They do have good reason though.  This is the suit that lead the first ever MS battle between feddies and Zeon, and did so to a crushing victory.  Sporting the custom blue paint job Ramba Ral always sports, it also had a shield, Heat Hawk, and a machine gun.  The box art picture the battle I mentioned, depicted in the Origin series, where Ramba leads the tri stars and Char against the early and ...

Our little buddy, the unsung hero of the federation, the Ball! Everyone loves the ball! Less a mobile suit and more a worker pod with a extra armor gun slapped on the top (and yes they made later variants slightly more suited to combat). It's not sexy. Its not super powerful. But it's a hell of a cheap support option. First off, they started out with like 1200 already made by converting worker pods, then made more. They were less than 1/4 the cost of even the cheapest mass produced suit. They were hard to hit, extremely small and more mobile than almost all suits, and often had a slightly longer sensor range. Even once the federation mass produced their first mobile suit, they still had balls supporting their MS teams. You can read up more on some valiant but costly battles where immense amount of balls fended off zeon by themselves, or see them in most later OYW space battles. Starting out, I have mixed feeling here.  Watching the shows and looking at the kits, the "roundarm" suits like the zgok, acguy, etc, were never my favorites.  But I did want one underwater kit, these are just a recognizable and different looking suit that a collection has to have ONE.  And I found one for under 8 dollars that looked decent and super quick to build, so here it is: I laughed pretty hard at one of those pictures. Can you spot it? Yeah, the one flat faceplanted at the floor. After speculating if it was like "dead or destroyed", I just had to translate it (thanks, instant phone based google translate!).
